ID: T8 Title: The Aghlabide Basins, Kairouan, Tunisia.  
Period of construction: 860-862 A.C.
Structural type: Structure in quarry stones, donned of an insulated sealer and approximate to the summit, with inside and outside buttress that alternate themselves and permit to strengthen the building, thus in order to resist the water pressure
Chronology of intervention:
-860-862: Edification of the basins by the prince Aghlabide Abou Ibrahim Ahmad.
-10th century (Fatimide period): Basins are filled with the help of aqueduct caring water from Ain Chreichera.
-After 2000: Restorations of the basins.

Description of interventions:
-860-862: Edification of basins.
-10th century: Basins are filled with the help of aqueduct caring water from Ain Chreichera.
-After 2000: Restoration works start by the small basin, and then come the big one.
Restoration counts the repairing of the buttress and the bedrock of basins; these works have been done by the back-up association of the Kairouan Medina.
