ID: T11 Title: Cisterns of the Mâalga, Carthage, Tunisia.
Period of construction: Roman period
Structural type: Structure in quarry stones, arches in cradle, bow in full hanger
Chronology of intervention:
-A first phase: The oldest one, that would be represented by the longitudinal cisterns and, maybe, by the small conduct to the south-easterly angle of the reservoirs.
-A phase of extension: who would be represented by the addition of the transverse compartments.
-A third phase: Caused by the construction of the aqueduct of Carthage of which a section passes by the southern facade of the monument (planning and construction of the room of water distribution).
-A phase of abandonment: to which we assign the planning of the terrace over longitudinal cistern extradoses and the construction of "small reservoirs".
